Integrated Program

Are you ready to put an end to dieting struggles? Dr. Duc C. Vuong has instituted a highly successful HealthStyles weight-loss program centered on the Optifast Meal-Replacement Program and the Lap-Band Surgery. The HealthStyles Program offers individualized options for people who need to lose between 20 and 300 pounds. All options are medically monitored and clinically proven to work. The comprehensive programs include a lifetime membership to support groups. So if several years down the road you put a few pounds back on, you are encouraged to come back to the support groups for free and get back on track.

At Texas City Surgical, we have introduced the most recent approach to treating obesity. This unique program is centered around the highly successful Optifast® Meal-Replacement Program and Lap-Band® surgery and is a multiphase process tailored to the needs of each individual participant. What sets it apart from other programs is the number of options it offers clients, as it focuses on their individual needs and concerns.

As both the Medical and Surgical Director of this new program, I am extremely excited about what it can mean for so many people who have struggled with obesity, often for their entire lives. Studies have repeatedly shown that weight loss can improve health as well as reduce the severity of life-threatening illnesses, such as diabetes, arthritis, and hypertension. In fact, it might surprise you to know that a 10 percent drop in weight can actually result in a 90 percent improvement in health.

I have worked hard to ensure value in this program and encourage motivation by providing several complimentary items and services. I find that individuals who participate in this program and undergo the Lap-Band® surgery are primarily concerned with enhancing their quality of life and enjoying greatly improved health. They might well find that their diabetes is more easily kept under control and that their blood pressure is no longer a matter of concern. They might discover that they are not as tired as often and that playing with their kids and grandkids is a pleasure rather than a chore.

The HealthStyles Program has an impressive group of staff members, including four doctors, a nurse, a dietitcian, and a physical therapist:
