Get Outdoors This Spring

Join our group for fun volunteer activities with the Galveston Bay Foundation!

The Marsh Mania events provide volunteers with skills and materials to plant marsh grasses in eroding portions of Galveston Bay. See our pictures from our fall grass planting event below! It was a morning of watery fun.

Chelsey Walk May 2008

An impressive number of HealthStylkes clients completed the 5K (3.1 mile) Chelsey Walk on May 8, 2008. The proceeds benefitted the Teardrop Foundation. All HealthStyles participants received an "activity reward," a coupon for HealthStyles products and services.

Turkey Trot 2007

Despite the cold and wind, we had a fantastic turnout for the HealthStylesTurkey Trot at 8:30AM Thanksgiving morning! Participants completed a 1.5-mile walk, a 3-mile walk, or a 3-mile run/walk. Congratualtions to all those who braved the weather and started the holidays off on a healthy note!

Grass Planting

Texas City Surgical teamed with the Galveston Bay Foundation for marsh grass planting expeditions to the Texas City Prairie Reserve in Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. We all had fun and hope you will join us over the summer for another active volunteer event!
